Hi all,
I did this project in 2008 but thought I would include it to my projects list. Like most of my other projects this one came out of basic necessity. I had to guy my basement (Mike Holmes style – down to the framing) and redo the entire area. I re-designed my bathroom and bult this vanity to fit the opening that was there before (the previous vanity was not well designed (to be polite).
I also built all the accessories (all out of Maple) to have a matching theme.
The toilet paper was my favorite creation. I wanted something different, but matching to the other bits and pieces so I came up with the plan you see in the pics. The idea I was looking for was having the roll “float” on top of the rails making people wonder how it was staying there and “how” to change the roll… As you can see I used a rare earth magnet with a concealed barrel hinge to make it all work.
I hope you all like it…
Steve

Nice job Steve. The TP holder is pretty slick! May have to try that myself.
