My wife wanted a cabinet to hide a litter box in. She found something at Ikea that she liked the look of, but was just a bit too big. Here’s my take on the cabinet, complete with access door on the left side. It’s received the seal of approval from my wife. Now waiting for the final word from the felines.
The wood is fir 1x and fir plywood. Finish is a Dark Mahogany gel stain and a satin polyurethane final coat.
edit: Added another picture showing the cat entrance

Trust me on this one. You will know it if the cats don’t approve!

Well trained cats. :)
Just added another picture showing the access hole on the left side. It’s nice and tall (12”) to fit our biggest kitty. Hopefully small enough to keep our Beagles out….

Well trained cats?!? There is no such animal! Dogs have masters, cats have staff….
Seriously though, I like the idea, and you executed it well. I can’t let my wife see it.

I was tihnking about something like this but before I made it our cat died of old age. We decided not to get another right away. Probably later when the kids are older. Great idea and a nice build. I’m gonna add this one to my favourites.
