What started as a should have been simple project, turned into one of hardest project I have ever done, My step mother passed away back in October, how ever before she passed, earlier in the year she had bought the grand Kids Christmas presents. For my daughter she bought her this teddy bear angel figurine. So I wanted to create a small display box to keep it in but still be able to display it. I also wanted to put a picture of grammy in it,, Originally I was going to have the whole box glued together, but then I thought well one day Olivia is going to move, and the teddy bear would get jostled and possibly damaged, so instead I opted to make the top removable. so I used two pieces of lexan, one piece to protect the photo in the back and one in the front for the display. then I used Antique oak for a stain. While under normal circumstances I could have had this down in matter of a few hours, every time I started on it, I would get all choked up, and would have to set it aside. But now it is completed and my daughters last christmas gift from grammy is protected safe and sound.

My condolences to your loss. Nevertheless, it will be a hand me down heirloom in memory of your mother in law and your daughter will always cherish it.
