This is a Zebrawood and Wenge jewelry box I made for my mother in law for Christmas. The zebra and wenge dovetails were cut with two sets of tails and fit together. Then I cut another set of tails into the wenge and pins into the zebrawaood. It really looks 3D and I love the look. The lid and bottom were resawed, bookmatched and then resawed again to complete the two pieces. The lift is zebrawood and wenge glued together and then mitered with a 45 degree router bit. Two sets of trays lined with navy blue felt. More pictures to come. I will post a video on this project and how to do the dovetails on the YouTube channel I just started. Check it out. My channel is called Katz-Moses Woodworking

Beautiful jewelry box! I like the wenge/zebrawood combo, and your dovetails are just about perfect! I’m sure MIL just loves it!

The 3D effect is really cool, and I love the top.

Incredible zebra wood box. Top knob design is very unique. Nice corner joints.
