Just finished up the last of the doll furniture requests (for a while anyway). I put together a three drawer dresser for the American Girl wardrobe that seems to be growing as fast as my grand daughter.

Anyway, the chest stands 9” tall, by 12” wide, and 8 1/2” deep. The carcass is made of 1/4” Baltic birch ply with a 1/2” thick Beech top that is fitted with a 1/8” deep dado, and the drawer dividers are dadoed into the carcass sides. The back panel is some 1/8” composite board I found in the scrap bin. The drawers are made with 1/4” Baltic birch and 1/8” composite bottoms. Drawer handles were made likewise of 1/4” ply that was routed into a “T” shape and sawn into strips.

The dresser was painted with semi gloss white and a magenta spray which grand daughter selected. I’m told it makes a bold statement! (what ever that means). That completes the set, 1 bunk bed and closet (w/ several hangers), one dinning table with 3 chairs, two art easels (not shown), and now 1 dresser.

Thanks for lookin’ in. Perhaps the next project will be more adult sized.
