I have to be honest… we use a CNC machine (CarveWright) and then do all of the finish carving and painting by hand. Thank you for your kind comments. Anytime you wanna stop by the shop I would be happy to share eveything I know.

Even with the CarveWright, it still better than I could do. Does the CarveWright leave the wood ready for finishing or is there a lot of tedious sanding?

The software (that comes with the CarveWright) actually allows you to set the quality… draft to optimal. On optimal there is usually less than 5 minutes of clean up (sanding) and most of the time you can use a brush on the piece and knock most of the “hairs” off of it. If you check out my website there are alot more projects on there.
