Wait a minute! That blue shirt is a fake. He’s no teacher. He runs a small cabinet making business!!

Very crafty, that guy.

Nice one man…and I’m sure we will all be amazed at what some of those kids will be able to do with that wood and those blades…very generous!

Rob, giving the wood alone was a wonderful gesture but adding the blades in as well really made his day I am sure. Like most teachers he is underpaid (and overworked) and has to put out his own money at times for the kids. So this gift is well appreciated I am sure.

What lucky students! Shops are expensive to build and students can tear up the equipment fast, considering many are just beginners. Many new high schools are eliminating shops to invest in more high tech, which is important, but basic life skills are being neglected in many schools because the ovehead of running the programs is high and many students cannot afford to provide their own wood, or buy fabric to learn to sew. In our economy or in emergency situations many of these skills are vital. Thanks for helping out!

By the way, I’m new here so I didn’t know this but you mean to say there about 12,000 members and no Lumber Jocks shirts! How are we supposed to recognise each other when we go the hardware or lumber store? Isn’t there a committee for this? ;-)

How fortunate for the students that will be utilizing all those goodies. My hats off to you, Rob A great gesture on your part helping the youngsters. The kids are lucky to have a shop program. Last year my son took woodshop and wanted to do again this year but unfortunately the program was canceled. Hopefully, when he transfers schools next year the program there will still be alive. It seems that all over the country these types of programs are disappearing in the schools, what a shame.

Keep up the great charity work so to keep the smiles on the kids faces!!

Great gift for the kids. Without people like you lots of these scholl programs would not make the budget cuts.

Keep it up.

Any idea what the kids made from your kind hearted gesture?
