This is supposed to look like the “cheesehead” that the Green Bay packers fans wear. I worked for a Colonel that was retiring and was a Packers fan. A friend of his sent a flag to the Packers head office wanting them to fly it at the football field. The Packers flew the flag and also sent a ton of memorabilia thanking him for his service. I’m not a Packers fan but I thought it was very commendable on their part. OK, here’s were I come in. He wanted a case to put the flag in, that looked like the cheesehead. They were having a Packers vs. Vikings going away party for him and wanted to present the flag to him at that time. I used a dremel tool to create the craters. It is made of ash with a golden oak stain, to try and get the yellow color and a wipe-on poly. Dye would have probably worked better, but I didn’t have any and not much time. I think it turned out alright and he was very pleased with it, so I guess that is all that matters. Thanks for looking!

What a Cool thing! I have to root for my nearby Pats, but I’ve had a soft spot in my heart for Green Bay going all the way back to Lombardi. Now there was a Football Coach!!
Nice Job on this Paul!

I like this – commemorates his service and his passion for his favorite team all in one. Congrats on a great job.

Very innovative. I think this is the best use I’ve seen for he cheese head gear. By the way the foam wedges actually keep our head warm. A handy thing up here.

A very impressive piece. Nice job on the construction and inventive way to make the holes.
