Screwdrivers

Project by Ken Waller posted 54 days ago 399 views 1 time favorited 6 comments Add to Favorites Watch

These pictures show some of the 24 screwdrivers I made and had laser-engraved for the Royal Military College Alumni. The kits were from Rockler and the handles were made from cocobolo and zebrawood. Each received 3 coats of tung oil and was buffed. A nice kit and nice wood resulted in nice screwdrivers.

That’s a lot of screwdrivers! Nice choices for the handles. Bet they all loved ‘em.

If I had a set of those I wouldn’t misplace them! That’s the first project where I could see myself using a lathe. I like the things people do on them and have two drawers of lathe tools, but no lathe and it’s not on my priority list.
Good tool handles that fit one’s hand well makes working with them a joy. Great looking doesn’t hurt either.
You seem to have done both.
