Project Information

This is my new reloading bench and hutch.
The bench is a 5' L extension of an existing workbench. The bench top is made from 11/2" thick plywood that I got from an army surplus store, they use them as pallet tops, they come 5'x5'x11/2" they're beat up around the edges so I cut them in half and square up the edges with my circular saw. they make a great bench top as they are really heavy and cheap, then I top with masonite for a slick surface.
The hutch is not quite finished, the cabinet on the right will have doors on it.
I will post another picture when the doors are on and the presses are mounted.

Good setup for reloading. I have a portable stand I made to mount one of my presses and a powder measure so I can take it to the range to work up loads.

Wish I had room for a setup like this. I have to use the "desk" in my "home office" (spare bedroom with table).

Great hutch! Can't wait to see it with doors!

I gotta find some of that plywood…

Andy, your 100% right, Masonite is hard board, it was a name brand of hard board in the States for years and many people still call it that.

Great set up. I'm about to put a finishing and reloading room in my shop. This is a great motivator to make it happen. It's really tough to put a wall and subdivide a shop but I think it's the best thing overall for dust free work and no freezing temps in winter. Nice bench, wish I had access to that 1 1/2 ply. The pic with all the supplies laid in is my favorite!!!! Later, BTKS
