I did get my first board done before the end of Sept, even though today is the last day.does that mean I beat Larry? LOL, it measures 9 3/4” by12” with handle it is 18 3/4” long 3/4” thick, the wood used is from the middle out is black walnut, black cherry, osage orange, birdseye maple, black walnut, glued up with Titebond III. the design took longer than making it, I am looking forward to making more, I know I’ll never get as many made as Larry, but it is fun and they do seem to be very popular now.
any comments good or bad are appreciated.

Beautiful board, Smitty!
The design is very unusual. I really love the wood combinations and how you skewed the last two woods.
You will give Larry a run for his money!

The only problem with making your own cutting boards is trying to get people to use them. Everyone will think its too pretty. I made one for my wife and I had to cut on it a LOT before I could get her to use it. Nice job Smitty.

Larry, coming from you, I take that as high praise, thank you very much, but the inspiration came from you and all of your wonderful designs, it gives the rest of us something to strive for, again, THANK YOU.
I thank all of you for your kind words, I really appreciate all the good things you have said.

Excellent job !! I’ve got to venture away from the straight and narrow path one day , but I hate to waste the wood by cutting shapes out of it. Your design is awesome though : )
