This years American Girl doll, Grace, is a baker, so my wife decided she needed a baking table. The frame is poplar and the top is maple; all scraps that were in my shop. Joinery was with pocket hole screws and glue. The finish was several coats of wipe-on poly and paste wax. My granddaughter loved it and as you can see in picture number four, she quickly put it to use.
I didn’t have the doll when I made it, so it appears a little tall. If I were to redo it I would make the legs eight inches rather than nine inches tall. The overall shape is pleasing, but poor Grace has to stretch to roll out the dough.

Looks good. I really like it when i build a child’s toy and they think it is the best ever!

I figure Grace will forgive. Nice work.

Nice job, Jim. I need to get back to woodworking. BTW, like your new kitchen.
