This piece was hand drawn from a photo and transferred on a thin piece of plywood. Once the drawing was completed it was cut out with a jig saw and coated with black leak seal. The end result is that the tree looks as though it was made out of metal instead of wood because of the texture of the leak seal.

Leak seal is a rubberized spray sealer. It comes in both clear and black. I used it thinking it was black paint, but unlike paint the finish is not smooth. But, when I saw the iron like look and feel to it, I decided to keep it that way.
