Went with my wife to see some relatives over labor day weekend, and they are all crazy playing this game “Cornole” which I never played before. Her cousin had made a really nice “Cowboys” gameboard set, and I had a lot of fun playing. So I thought, “I can make that!”, and “It’ll look a lot better in Pittsburgh Steelers” colors!
If you Google Cornhle you’ll get all the specs for the game. It’s 1/2 inch plywood on a 2×4 frame, and the top of the back should be 12” of the ground. You can get beanbags filled with corn (hence the name) and sports team vynil decals for most any pro or college team, or just paint them plain, and put a couple coats of polyurethane on them so the bags slide a little.
Took it to our tailgate for our local university football game, and had a lot of fun. It was a big hit! Fun project to make.

Yeah, I’ve never seen a team be so dominant and then lose a game. They really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory yesterday! I wonder if they are searching for a new kicker?

Cornhole is a Cincinnati game. You must have been close or known someone from the area. Outside the area its unknown.

Really nice boards. I’ve made a few as well. a Great game. We grew up a Steeler family and my Sister in law asked for a set for my brother for Christmas. This just gave me the inspiration i needed for the design. Thanks!
Nick…You’d be suprised how far Cornhole has spread. Go to a tailgate or summer party in Cleveland, Indy, Chicago, to Missouri even out to Denver and you’ll see it. Oh how the time flies when you’re playing cornhole.
Nice work, Tim

I’m a victim of my success. Now my wife’s cousin wants a set for her hubby, who is also a big Steelers fan. Now that I’ve made mine, I saw several cornhole boards at our local university game in Myrtle Beach (CCU), and my daughters tell me it’s big at the U.of S. Carolina and Clemson as well. I thinks it’s pretty well sweeping the country!

absolutely LOVE these cornhole boards.. however, the steelers won superbowl 13, not 12! at least it’s an easy fix..

Yes, I noticed the number was wrong. The letters and numbers are a vinyl decal, so it won’t be too easy to fix. You’re actually the first person to notice it besides me, or at least the first one to say anything about it. Fortunaltely, it does not effect the play of the boards!
