This is a simple TV stand I made for my nephew to set on his dresser. It’s my first time making mortise and tenon joints. The football and base are from an old pine table top. I was a little worried about tipping and just being sturdy enough, as the TV is about 85lbs. or more. It turned out very sturdy with no wiggle or rocking. The posts look crooked in the picture, but are not. I had a lot of fun making this one and my nephew loved it, so I was happy. As always, thanks for looking.

very creative, nice work! I definitely would have been worried about the TV tipping but it looks nice and sturdy and I’m sure you wouldn’t have kept the TV in there if it wasn’t. good job!

Go for it Jason! It’s always easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

Brad, very creative and well executed. My neighbor recently asked for a bit of help sanding a section of a guitar stand he designed and was building for his two sons. He shaped the stand into 2 guitars just touching in the middle. Your design of the goalposts, the football and the field remind me of that level of creativity. Dealing with the weight and dimensions of the TV must have been quite a challenge but it appears you nailed a 53-yarder right through the uprights. Sorry, I couldn’t resist that.
