This is the band saw box that i made for my woods class I’m a student at Wahoo Public High School. It’s made out of ceder 4×4. Its not finished yet i still have to make the hinges for the top and I’m not sure if I’m going to stain it yet I’m still considering it. http://lumberjocks.com/images/progress-bar.gif

NEAT!!
Will you use a wooden dowel for the hinge?

Hey Afroman It looks great as is – no stain please – I use a simple wax finish on a lot of my work – I’m in Australia but I guess you can access similar soft carnubic wax finishes in USA – my grandsons just love helping with that stuff – it is that simple – rub on several coats and then hand buff. It is great stuff.
The secret is in the final sanding – 400 grit or better.
Best regards,
Wallace

Good one too Afroman. I’ve seen all three now and I can’t decide which one I like best. Hm…I guess I’ll have to give you all three an A+. Nicely done projects. I hope you guys keep woodworking and posting your projects here. Thanks for showing us.

Very nice. If you decide to stain, you can always use a natural stain. That way you’ll enhance the natural color in the wood without changing it.
