Magical sorting box

Finished this little organizer. Just drop it the top and it goes in the right drawer just like magic ! I know you are saying ’That’s not magical, I know how it works. Each drawer is shorter then the one bellow. Clever but not magical.’ The magic is not in the the construction of the box but in its function. When (non-woodworking) friends stop by my shop they will become enthralled with this magical box. They will joyfully drop items in the top just to see how this box really works. Before long they will exhaust my piles of unsorted nut, bolts, screws and washer.

Great idea for those “stray” items always laying around on the bench or floor

Method to the madness, love it! I usually hand them the shop vac and ask for help cleaning up. LOL

That is a cool idea! I’m going to steal your idea and make one for coins; maybe everybody who drops by my shop would be so enthralled as to drop spare change in it. It might work.

This is really neat. I can think of other applications too. Maybe a kid putting away his lego’s in his magic box. Novel idea and nicely done!
