I have a Colwood burner (the kind pyrographers use to embellish their work). I use a fine-point tip in a woodburning pen.

Looks good Gerry. You might want to add the date? It will make it easier to value when it shows up on the Antiques Roadshow towards the end of this century. Cherry is one type of wood that many people tend to keep, use, and value. Nice piece.
