I found this little beauty on craigslist last week. I’ve been meaning to upgrade my old craftsman flex-drive TS so seeing the Jet on Craigslist for $300 wasn’t bad at all. So i sold my craftman for $200 and got my new jet for $300. The saw only had a few sheets of plywood ever run through it any otherwise was used as a table top for a car guy.
Refinished the cast iron with penetrating oil and purple scotchbrite finished with a few coats of wax and polished with the fine grade white scotch brite pads.
Replaced all the bolts, lock washers, and flat washers with fresh stuff.
All the internals were solid nothing worn so just cleaned everything up scrubbed it up and lubed it it white lithium grease.
The fence was WAY outta alignment but got it down to +/- 1/164”
Only thing let is to build a nice out feed table which I will post here in a few weeks once completed.

Nicely refinished & refined! I can see the different look of the table bed/top.

Great job.

Nice find and clean up. Had one of those old flex drive Crafstman table saws. Bet you’re glad to get rid of it as I was. I guess it wasn’t all bad though. Served me for 20 years.
