Hey Guys and gals,
Well, I finally finished the flag cases and got them delivered today. The first one is air dried walnut with about 8 coats of Watco Danish Oil medium walnut stain. The second is mahogany wiith a few coats of tung oil.
My Aunt and Uncle were very grateful. While we were there my uncle presented me with a jack knife that belonged to my Grandfather, which in turn I was very grateful.
All in all it was a great day. It is truely an honor to give the two men who fought for our country a fitting memorial. Thanks to everyone for their support in this project. I have a new found confidence.
