I made some Trivets

I made these four trivets. I used Black Walnut for the runners, Birch, Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, and Red Oak dowels. They measure 6” square. I finished them with mineral oil.

I have been wanting to make some for some time now. There are many designs out there. I wanted them to be all wood, and a little different. I was going to give two of them away, but my wife said she really liked them. So I will keep all of them.

You have a trivit pursuit … a poor pun to be sure.
Those are different from the run of the mill trivits, nice looking, thanks for showing this project!

Nice and unique idea. We all have such scraps in workshop to use them. You only must have good dovel maker.
