I love the Damask style of decorating! I think it works so well in scroll work and especially for these fun, romantic heart shapes.
This designs is fun and not really difficult to cut, as the Damask designs are very forgiving if you slip off the line a little bit on the scroll saw.
I designed and cut these ornaments myself (you can get the pattern here on my site: (SLD521 Damask Heart Ornaments)
My sets are cut from 3/16” thick ash and 1/8” Baltic birch plywood. I used DecoArt Metallic Lustre acrylic wax on the birch ones to give them the beautiful shimmery colors (I only applied it to the face of the ornaments. I then added some hot-fix rhinestones to all of the pieces to give them some beautiful details. They were finished off with matching organza ribbon bows.
I think I will add some rare Earth magnets to them and give them out as magnets, although they could also be hung in a wreath or as a sun-catcher in the window.
I hope you like them!
