This is a design I saw on the internet(best chess tables.com) at least my version of it.
Walnut and maple board,turned legs(first try ever at a lathe)

Great work. For a first try at the lathe I’m impressed that you undertook something that required duplication. Very impressive!

What he said, and then some, great work for a first time on the lathe, it took me a year in high school shop class to learn how to set off a 22. caliber in a vise. jockmike

That doesn’t look like the sort of chess set a beginner buys. Tell me a little about it. How big are the board’s squares? The table look just great.
