Hey everyone! It’s been quite some time since I posted a project so I thought I’d show you guys my latest project. This is an arts and crafts style table made out of European white oak. I got the plan from an old magazine. This project consists of mortise and tenons and half-lap joints. I’ve never really done too much of those joinery types but I am very proud of how well they turned out. I don’t have a mortiser but the drill press and chisel method worked out just fine. The half-laps were cut on my sliding miter saw by using the depth stop. The finish is a dark walnut stain with 2 coats of wipe on poly and 2 coats of paste wax which gave it a nice smooth shine and I’m very happy with it. This was my first time building an arts and crafts style furniture piece and it certainly won’t be my last. I had a lot of fun building this and I look forward to the next one. Enjoy!

Very well done.
I imagine that this will be handed down in your family for generations.
I hope you signed it!
