This is a game that I made for my brother-in-law for Christmas.
The woods that I used are mahogany, poplar, walnut, oak and cherry.
The picture that has the instructions on the bottom was a first for me. I was not sure how to attach it so there would not be a piece of paper floating around that would get lost. So, I sprayed a coat of lacquer down, laid the paper into that and re-coated to saturate it. Ended up working really well. Gives it a rustic look.
When I cut in the dados for the walls in the top of the board I centered the first cut on the walnut when I should have centered the walnut between the first 2 cuts….
It was a fun project and I believe it is getting some use!

Nicely done. I’ve never played quoridor.

Nice board. I want to make a few of these for gifts next year. I may have enough time if I start now.
