I built this for my son to organize his room a little better. This is one of my first projects so I wanted to try a couple different woods to see how they are to work with and finish. I used maple, cherry and walnut. There is a secret compartment behind the games that you access from behind to store a power strip and cables. (Still tons of cables showing!)
Anyway I have learned a couple things on this project.
1. Don’t have a fan blowing on you when you are doing a very big glue up..
2. Prepare a plan for the project ahead of time and have a drawing with each piece with exact measurements.
3. I think I can build some nice things if I take my time, plan and try something new each time.

No matter how much cable management you do you will never get them all.
Nice stand.

“I think I can build some nice things if I take my time, plan and try something new each time.”
I think you can, too … because … I think you already have.
For me, I go by the saying, “If I can’t draw it, then I can’t build it.”
If I can (bad eyes), I may enter the world of Google SketchUp. Looks incredibly cool.
Anyway, well done!
