This is an audio cabinet that I made for a friend of mine. His home was decorated with fishing memorabilia and everything in the room where this cabinet was placed has a kind of rustic look so I used a poly/stain blend because it usually leaves darker streaks when brushed particularly in corners and around edges lending itself to a somewhat aged look. I also chose the hammered hardware for the same reason to give the rustic feel without looking too old. This item is one of my earlier projects so don’t be too hard on me.

You made a nice audio cabinet. What type of wood did you use? With the poly/stain blend, how many coat did you apply and do you have to sand in between coats?
