This is a storage unit that I built for my kids room. The design is very loosely based on some seriously expensive stackable cube units available at pottery barn kids. After some discussion I talked the wife into letting me build something instead of buying them (not that we could afford them anyway). I wanted to build the unit with adjustable shelves but the wife wanted fixed shelves (guess who won that one). So off I went to Big Lots to purchase the bins that would store and organize the kids toys. After using this thing for a while we wanted to move it to a new location but it was too big at almost 7’ long and 4’ tall so it now resides in my wife’s classroom and it all worked out great because more cubbies is just what she needed. The unit is constructed of birch plywood and furniture grade pine solid wood edging. Finished with 3 coats of satin water based poly. Enjoy!

And it’s overflowing already. Amazing how quickly that happens! Guess you’ll have to build another one

I need something like this. My 2 kids combined age is 3 and I am already tripping over toys.
