The other "pin wheel" board

Welll, I finally got the other “pin wheel” board done. I changed the style a little because I also finally got around to making a circle jig for my bandsaw. I rounded the ends and went with a simple circle finger grip. The board is cherry and walnut with maple strips, mineral oil finish. The jig is MDF, wax on the slide so it moves better. I think I might try an end grain, circular board next.

Nice work !!
These are original in design.
What’s the dot in the center?
Man, that jig is almost bigger than the saw, impressive.

The second board is definitely a step up. It keeps getting better. So did you make a arc cutting attachment for this circle jig? suggestion- use your round over bit on the hanging hole also to soften the edge and match the soft edge of the board, or not. This looks great.

Hey Scott, I did round over the hanging hole but just with a 1/8” round over and I used a 1/4” on the sides. I was thinking I needed more on the hanging hole.

I too like the second… improving all the time… the jig looks a little familiar lol

I three like the second one. The arched edges just seems to go better with the interior curves.
