Yup I’m addicted! Nothing like a 3 day weekend in the shop! Segmented Bowl #2. I did this one by eye, not working with a program or a pattern. It is 8” x 3.5”. Flaw’s, I missed some tear-out on the top ring at one joint that I noticed after finishing and parting off. The “Wedgie sled” makes nice joints.

Nice looking bowl. Looking at the last picture it looks like you have the 3 jaw chuck on the tailstock. Is this correct and why?

In the picture you’re referring to I’m just using it to keep pressure on the glue up overnight. The real reason I use that is to part off and finished the bottoms. This gives you perfect alignment when reversing the bowl to your vacuum chuck. The chuck is also a Nova G3 – 4 jaw chuck.
