Tape holder

Having gotten tired of knocking rolls of tape off every time I went in the loft looking for a piece of wood I decided enough. Granted I used some cheap wood that was scrap from a neighbors project, but still it did the job. No stain, did 4 coats of poly and called it a day. The pegs are cut at 5 degrees to give them some tip back hoping to keep them on the thing, not the floor. First pic is the finished product, second is what I had before.

Thanks. My wife’s cats get up in the loft and like to knock down the tape. LOL

“4 cots of Polly and called it a day” that’s a lot of work for a tape holder I said. Then I looked at your miter saw station and it all makes sense. You sir are not afraid of a little bit of work. Looks great hope it works well for you!

-- I love my lathe. It’s old, not too pretty and I don’t really know how to use it… Love it!

I’m thinking like Blue77. I probably woulda left it at raw wood. Not like anybody’s gonna be critiquing or anything! :-)

Blue and Joe, ... It’s called pride in the shop … I started doing some stuff like that as I finished the new shop, Painted the bench legs, and matching paint on a lot of raw wood like the lumber rack … It’s psychological, and it works, I now keep a cleaner shop and a bit more organized … Well a bit more.
Maybe I will free up some pegboard space …?

Thanks for the comments guys. I have to agree with Grumpymike it is psychological, I prefer a finished product even if for the shop. But mostly I enjoy the creative process. As I have gotten older and acquired some skill I care less about how quickly the job gets done and more about the quality of the work.
