Lathe and woodturning tool storage

Had a tough time organizing the lathe tools and chucks in my classroom. The students would just not put things back. I color coated the tools and lathes and mounted a piece of plywood on the three lathes that I have in the room as shown. I also made a bunch of tool holders for the cabinet that holds the faceplates and chucks.

I wish my wood shop had all those accessories we had spur drive for spindle turning a face plate for bowls and a few random gouges and skews. Hope this works out for you.

Simple yet effective. Now you just have to make sure that the kids are properly storing things away when they’re finished for the day.

Very cool. I love organizational projects. They sure save time in the shop, too.
