this is a simple box i made for my mothers birthday this year…i made it with soft maple and walnut, with cedar accents and the handles are made of dogwood…ive found that dogwood is a beautiful white and very dense hardwood..ive got some here and milled it on my table saw, i sealed the wood with deft water based sealer, and sanded it down to a 400 grit…im enjoying making some of these small projects, and will start on some toys soon, since the holidays are approaching…thanks for viewing my project.

Grizz,
I love the lines on this box!
I espcially love the top and handle.
I’m sure your mother will love it.

Nice box Grizz…I like the wood finish…very shiny. The inlay piece and handle make it very original….It looks almost like a bandsaw box…but not from the same wood block….I like it….and I bet you Mother loved or will love it.
