My 1st Guitar Build From Scratch

I’ve had a large number of cigar boxes for a while now, do different things with them and saw these guitars online. Decided to give it a shot but wasn’t sure how it would turn out, especially considering I don’t play guitar and don’t know much about them. Did alot of research and this is what I came up with, my 1st guitar.

Think it turned out really nice, and even sounds good. Next project will be an electric cigar box guitar.

Enjoy, hope you like it.

1. Guitar Neck- Red Oak
2. Fret Board-Poplar (not the best choice, didn’t want to use anything too expensive or nice as I wasn’t sure how overall project would turn out) Next Guitar will have a Cherry Fret Board w/ Flame Wood Tuner Head
3. Guitar Parts – message me and I’ll give you the website where I purchased the parts from

These cigar box guitars are pretty cool, and yours turned out very nicely! I’ve heard them played before, and they actually sound pretty good!

Very nice! Once the CBG bug has bit, it’s hard to quit collecting boxes and building them!

Very cool!
I like cigar boxes too, except I build mine into mechanical puzzle boxes. If you ever want to trade my larger ones (which I don’t use as often) for your smaller ones (far more appealing for puzzle box making) let me know.
