A project for my wife. She wanted something to store her crotchet projects and supplies in. I could not find any examples that suited her so she described what she wanted. It needed to be light and have handles so she could move it to wherever she was working, she wanted a split lid for easy access.
Made of Alder with shiplap panels approx 17”x24”x16”h

When it’s all closed up it kind of looks like a cute little end table (more like furniture then a normal storage bin)...so when not being used it can even set out in the living space and not look out of place. I really like the design too…the way one side of the top fits tight right over the other makes it a nice small seam down the middle. Very nice : )

Mike: The finish is a spit coat of shellac followed by 4 coats of wipe on Poly satin finish.
