Melted Bar Stool

Project by Mark posted 70 days ago 541 views 0 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Hey everyone this is what I believe was called a melted barstool from a Canadian Homeworkshop magazine and Ryan if you’re reading this I know mine doesn’t look half as good as your did. This was specificly Ryans project from the magazine and it took layers and layers of 1q/8”laminate ply to give it that melted look. I also stained and finished mine as well. Thx Ryan

Hi Mark, thanks for posting that…....I love it when I get to see people actually build the stuff from my articles.

That was a fun article, but a challenging project (as I’m sure you found out!) But it looks like you did a fine job!

It must be hard to stay sitting on it.
After a few beers you sit on it and slip right down.
You diid a very fine job on it looks good.

Cool Stool. Very nice build. Love the design.

That is one way to know when the drinkers have had enough. If you can’t stay on, your done!

Great job.

Keep it up.

I agree with scrappy, first time was a slip, the second time, “taxi”.

looking at the underside of the corners, looks like they need a little roundover bit attention.

Very striking design and excellent construction.

I must say, however, that those sharp corners are making the twins extremely nervous as I contemplate sitting on it. :-)

Nice stool. I have that issue also and I think I will try that stool also. Looks like a challenging project but does not cost a fortune to build.
