While in Phoenix last March (getting away from Ontario winter) I found a 3-ft section of a eucalyptus tree literally lying on the ground in a closed golf course. The first two (natural edge) bowls came from the lower section, the 3rd from the multi-branch crotch and the vase from the branch section closest to the camera.
All items were finished with 3 coats of tung oil and buffed

I mill and sell eucalyptus in southern California . It is a “sleeper” wood that is garnering more and more interest. Your turnings are beautiful—

Beautifull turnings. Great designs. That eucalyptus wood has some fantastic grain and color.
Picked up some eucalyptus wood myself here in Phoenix Month or so ago. It is still very green and haven’t been able to getting anything turned without a LOT of cracking. (could be due to working in 110 degree heat. Dries out FAST) Looking forward to turning some more of this when it cools down.
Again. Fantastic pieces.
