Bracelets via Drill Press

As a last minute Christmas gift idea for my daughter, I decided to make her a couple of bracelets. I followed plans which were in Wood Magazine’s Dec/Jan 2016 issue. These plans were fairly simple and used a drill press & hole saws instead of the lathe.

I used Zebrawood for one, and Cherry for the other. Both finished with 3-coats of CA, then polished with Carnauba wax on the Beall Buffing System.

Overall, I was happy with these.

Nice looking, saw those plans and have on my list to try them out as I like the idea having some leftover wood afterwards.

Nice, I love the spalted one (picture 2). Sometimes I see these called bracelets and sometimes bangles, what is the difference?

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve already made a couple more per request. And I’m sure I’ll make several more in the future. They were fun and relatively easy to make.

According to my daughter, bangles are wider. I guess these would probably be bangles..LOL
