Project Information
I have built several hand-cranked marble games of the same design before. I posted them on this web site here.
Recently, someone contacted me and wanted to know where they could get a pattern for a different design of marble game. This game has the marbles dropping in two different falls. He had a picture of the game. I searched the internet, and it seems a web site sold one some time ago. So, I don't know who the original designer was.
Using the picture, I designed up this version in Sketchup. Then I did the trial & error work to get it to work properly.
I made this version in red oak with Golden Oak stain, and 2 coats of polyurethane. I still use the old-fashioned oil based poly….....I tried water based recently and let's just say…......me and water based poly don't get along well.
I made a Youtube video of this latest model in action. You can see it here.
If you are interested in my trials & tribulations of this project, you can see them on my woodworking web site.
You can download my Google Sketchup model here.
Thanks
