_*I didn’t have the time to build anything new for this contest, because of Barb’s recent illness. It has interfered with shop time. During her recovery, I’m now the chief cook, & bottle washer. ;)
Martin said we could enter something old. How about 25 years old?
This project was done in two stages. I built the tool shed with a gazebo attached in the fall of 1982, & then followed up by building the deck in the spring of 1983.

Nice job Dick
That looks like a very peaceful spot to relax and think about your next woodworking project.

very cool…what a great project…and it is amaziing how well it has stood up to the test of time…clearly solid work as always…the reality is that taking care of your wife is your best summer project—-that gets my vote!

os…I HAD TROUBLE AT FIRST TOO…I kept clicking on the triangle play button and that led me no where…so then I clicked on the bottom right button (picasa icon) and it opened a new window…and then I clicked on the name of the album “Dick and Barb” and it worked…
DICK—-great snow shots—-also loved the evening snow shots…

Dick, building a gazebo is a challenging project in of itself. I especially like your details; the weather vane certainly, but also I appreciate the effort that you made in creating the columns and pilasters with the taper and circle detail, and the profile you made for the spandrels.
I hope your wife is feeling better.

Dick, somehow I missed that your wife was ill before. What is going on? If you have posted it somewhere, let me know the link.
Good project as always. You are a very talented and kind hearted dude.

Just a great job Dick. Take care of Barb and tell her we said howdy from Indiana!

I so enjoyed your video and don’t tell Obi but it brought tears to my eyes. You are such a special, special person and it shows up not only in your work but in your video presentations, your pictures, your words…. it is truly an honour to know you, even if it is not in person!
I just want to give you a big hug! :D
Love the gazebo and deck—that floor. Very cool.
