fish tank cabinet

this is a cabinet i just finished for a friend to hold his 500lb aquarium its made of oak with melamine bottom and back,euro hinges and an adjustable shelf.the finish was just clear satin poly.this was a quick 2 day weekend build.

Very sturdy for aquarium and good looking too. I would only add some colour to it.

thanks for the comments guys and if it were mine i would go for more color too but thats what he wanted a light wood strong enough to hold an elephant, his previous stand was ready to collapse.

yeah i know it seems fast but the first day cut everything and glued up,next day assembled.it was kind of an emergency project an 80 gallon fish tank was ready to take a dive.

That is a gorgeous stand for a fish tank! I want to build my own fish tanks one day and being able to knock out a beautiful stand like this would be amazing. Good job.
