this is a hollow form i just finished it is 2 inchs high by 8 inchs across, the walls are hollowed to a 1/4 inch thick, the base is white oak and the cap is cocobolo, finished with tung oil and beeswax.

i’m glad you guys like the form. i use a kelton hollowing tool along with a couple of pete holtus specialty tools, i do all my hollowing by hand with no laser or capture system.

That is quite a challenge to hollow out something so flat and big around. You really did a great job on it. You could probably leave out the plug to show off your turning expertise. I sure would.
