Started making name puzzles to sell and they have proven to be pretty popular! Made from two layers of 1/2” Baltic Birch ply, stained using food coloring with 2-3 coats of clear lacquer. Letters are 4” high, and the 1” pegs help little fingers get the letters in and out without having to tip the puzzle over.

Thanks for looking.

Great idea. Helps the little ones learning their name, spelling, and improve their manipulative skills.

Beautiful!

Band saw, CNC, or something else?

I made a rudimentary “number puzzle” for my then-3-year-old as one of my first band saw projects, but it is pretty crude compared to this.

These were hand cut on the scroll saw.

I agree that these can be hot sellers. I’ve made a lot of them but with cnc. I couldn’t keep up with the orders before Christmas. I had to turn people away.

Have your say...
