Rustic shoe racks

Simple shoe racks made from old tongue and groove flooring. Since my wife preferred a more rustic look, I was able to skip sanding / finishing and was able to use more splintered pieces of flooring and just scrape the sides and bottoms down enough that nothing will get caught on them.

Each level has the platforms for shoes attached to side supports with pocket holes, then the side supports are just screwed directly into the uprights.

I like how simple this project is. Something I really appreciate sometimes. Its nice sometimes to skip the overly complicated projects that pop into my mind and just make something nice and effective. Very well done. PS, great looking dog too.

Very simple but a great idea.

Good to use reclaimed wood. BTW, is that a real bench dog? :D

Now you’ve had it, the lab knows where the shoes go.

-- I've worked out how to sharpen, now how do you get blood out of pine?
