I think that apricot has grain that matches any of the exotic woods. This came from a apricot trunk from a friend. I split it and made the bowl from one side and candle holders from the other side. Fortunately I have more wood to play with. The borers and termites added to the texture.

I had some in my yard in ND and never made a thing from the prunings! DAMN!
