Made some display racks and counter top holders for the Celtic Knot french rolling pin Christmas presents. Hearts are big around here but also made a couple without the hearts. The larger ones can sit on the counter or hang on the wall. The small rectangular one is used to keep the pins from rolling around on the counter top- Thanks DaveR for help with the design.

Lew, very nice. I’ll have to admit, I’m usually not much of a fan putting a heart in a project, but I like the way you inlaid the heart in that holder. Well done and looks very nice. Now that I said that,if you look at the last project I posted, I incorporated a heart in that design. What can I say….........I’m guilty. lol.

Thanks so much for the kind words.
Huff- The hearts were my wife’s idea. Since my entry into a knot like no other, she as been “hinting” for this design for Christmas gifts.
Darryl- I was trying to think of a way to have the two go together, besides the same wood types. The one with the arch has about the same “arc” as the pins.

Lew, you have a gift for seeing passed the typical designs and making the most clever pieces. The heart just makes the whole project stand out.

Matt- She has seen them, the holders and rolling pins are Christmas gifts for friends and relatives. I will take some pictures of them together as soon as I can get back in my workshop. Everything is moved because they are coming tomorrow to replace the furnace.

For Matt and Wooley- here are some pix with both the pins and holders
This is a Sepele, Walnut and Maple pin (Thanks Karson!!)
This pin is Maple and Walnut
The small holder. It is just used to keep the pin from rolling off of the counter- and hitting the dog in the head- during dough preparation.
