First attempt at turning something other than pens. The wood is supposed to be Orangewood. I got it on the bargain table at WoodCrafts in Jax, Fl. The piece of wood was 1 1/2” X 1 1/2” X 12” and the cost was $4.99. The salesman said he believed it was Orangewood and the reason it was on sale was nobody knew for sure what kind of wood it was. Turned real nice and it didn’t take long. I have three coats of Pure Boiled Linseed Oil with a rub down with 0000 steel wool between coats. Now I have to make my two daughters one.
