This was a project that DC Customs and I did. The base was a piece of Live Oak driftwood I found on New River in NC a couple of years ago. Perfect project for this amazing oak piece that looks like a dragon head.
The top is a pice of spalted curly maple I saved from my dad’s fireplace. I think he thought I was crazy when I asked him to kindly step away from the chainsaw while I create a future masterpiece of woodworking legend. (Dramatic effect added)
In the end it was fairly simple to actually do, the difficult parts were all in the figuring.
Thanks to Andrew Cohilas for partnering with me on this amazing project.
