Wanted to make something special for my Dad for Christmas cause he’s impossible to shop for and my Mom had told me he needed an end table a certain size but couldn’t find one anywhere. So I picked up some maple and made him one. It was awesome to give it to him and I love how the top turned out. Wanted to do a drawer but time got away from me.

Looks great! Might try a second one when you have the time to build a drawer, too?

What kind of finish?

Yeah I thought about making a set for my wife and I. The finish is one coat of Minwax tung oil finish and the top has three and a couple good layers of Johnson’s paste wax. I really like the MInwax tung oil finish it goes on smooth and is really easy to work with and the results are really nice
