Various Wooden Tole Painting Projects

If you’ve been around here on LJ’s since before the holidays last year, you may have seen these. I believe Keith posted some of these in a blog back then. I’ve enjoyed the hobby of tole painting on wood for many years now, and this is just a variety of some of the varrious Christmas projects I’ve made.

The Christmas bear with the santa hat was an accomplishment for me because it was the very first project I actually cut out all of the pieces to on the bandsaw by myself. Before that I was too intimidated to try, so I had Keith cut out my parts, and before I knew him I purchased the parts pre-cut from the local Tall Mouse or Michaels craft stores. I know these aren’t the “typical” type of woodworking projects displayed here on LJ’s, but as I said in my last post…I just wanted to have something to show for myself as far as projects go. And who knows…with the holidays coming up, maybe these will give others some Christmas decoration project ideas. : )

P.S.- From here on out I’ll try to only post NEW projects of stuff that I make as I go along that hasn’t been previously posted on Keith’s projects, so as to not bore everyone with the same thing they’ve already seen.

Nice signs, I wasn’t here last year so they are new to me. LOL

Heidi, Welcome to LJ’s. Glad you decided to join us. I always look forward to Keith’s post and comments and now we can look forward to your talents also. I’m fairly new to the site, so didn’t see your work until now. Very cute and very creative.

I have the pattern in a book somewhere at home. My printer is on the fritz, or else I would copy the pattern & send it to you. If I can get it to scan (I can try) then maybe I can email it to you that way. Private message me your email & I’ll see what I can do. :)
